Rafael Nadal withdraws from Indian Wells
Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal has announced that he has to delay his comeback from injury and quit the Indian Wells Masters event because of another injury setback.

The 37-year-old former World number one had hoped to return at the hard-court tournament that he has won three times and was due to face Milos Raonic in the first round.
It would have been Nadal's first appearance since a muscle injury forced him out at Brisbane at the start of the year, but Nadal informed the press and fans that despite his efforts to get back to fitness, he won't be competing.
"It is with great sadness that I have to withdraw from this amazing tournament at Indian Wells," he posted on social media.
"Everyone knows how much I love this place and how much I love to play here. That's also one of the reasons why I came very early to the desert to practice and try to get ready.
"I have been working hard and practicing and you all know I took a test this weekend but I don't find myself ready to play at the highest level at such an important event.
"It is not an easy decision, it's a tough one as a matter of fact but I can't lie to myself and lie to the thousands of fans," explained Nadal.
The Spaniard has said that 2024 could be his last season before retirement after missing nearly all of 2023 with a hip-injury.
He is now likely to focus on ensuring an appearance at the French Open, which he has won a record 14 times.
